Xylon could see her fear; but it gave him a slight headache. He always hated sudden fear, because it crashes down on him like waves. He rubbed his head, "And what did he look like, Mele?" he asked in his more "kinder" tone, trying not to add more fear into the young woman.
Icy
Oh lookie! A tall, tall treeeeeeeee! Fiiiinally! Icy sighed, and climbed up the tree, and this time, he sat on it. Aaaah, if only his wife was with him...He smiled at the thought as he got the bow and arrow ready to aim at the three figures he sees though the leaves. The tree was approximately fifty feet away from the building anyways, so Icy hadn't doubt that they'll see him in this tree.

Mele hesitated, pulling herself together and dismissing her fear.She remembered that both of these males were human and they wouldn't hurt her."I-I couldn't see much about him because he was two stories higher than me in the tree.I saw he had on a lab coat and baggy pants, I think his hair was white.It's still dark out so that seemed to stand out," answered Mele.She put her hand on her pendant."I'm sorry if it's not much help," she added, dipping her head sadly.She sometimes found herself to be useless. |

Xylon smiled at her, "Oh, Mele, you had found the person I was looking for." He approached her and gave her a pat on the shoulder. Then he looked back at Disparity, "See, that was the Beta. I knew that they were going to come."
Icy
He shot the arrow through the window, hoping that it'll get one of the figures. He jumped down the tree and started to run away from the building to Screen. He was sure that Nori had forgotten his key card again, and he was sure that Hikiro is wondering where he had been.

Mele smiled up at Xylon gently but as he turned to talk to Disparity, the arrow hit her side.She gasped and her hand went to her side as blood began to stain her white tank top.She winced, feeling the arrow dig itself deeper when she moved.Mele, closed her eyes for a moment, letting the pain sink in before kneeling on the ground.She opened her eyes and muttered something about bad luck.
Disparity
"Yes, I can hear quite well.I'd also like to add your target just injured our Healer, so kudos to you, fool," said Disparity."Since he's your enemy, you can help Mele."Disparity turned and went back into his room, shutting the door calmly behind him.Once he was in his room, he grinned to himself.
Nori
Nori had gotten lost and ended up back in the entry room of the building.He looked at the elevator and wanted to hit his head on a wall.He flipped his red-brown hair over his shoulder and muttered something to himself.Where the heck is Icy?Beta or not, he's stupid! Nori thought to himself impatiently. |

I hate him, I hate him, I hate him I wanna KILL HIM, damn that Disparity, always twisting things and making fun of me, Xylon thought. He turned his attention to Mele, and held her enough so she can stand. "Let's get you fixed up," he muttered, looking away.
Icy
Icy saw Nori at the entry and laughed. "Out here again? Here, I'll help ya out."
He slid the key card so that they'd enter, he held the door so that Nori would enter first, and he warmly smiled.

Mele looked up at Xylon as he helped her stand.She blushed slightly and looked away."I can take care of it myself, you don't have to help," she told him softly.She looked at the ground but the pain was killing her.She was hiding the screams of pain she had within her as the injury burned.Her hair luckily had not brushed the blood on her shirt, but the blood was spreading as it pooled around the arrow.
She didn't say that it hurt her, she didn't want Xylon to worry about her.She was used to being alone, and she didn't want to force him to help her.Did Disparity do this on purpose? she wondered to herself.Mele didn't show any fear, she wasn't afraid of pain or blood.She was going to be sore and she'd need bandages after she got the arrow out.She knew it was her luck to have the arrow only dig in deeper, as if by each breath she took.
Nori
Nori entered the elevator and looked back at Icy."You seem to be in a good mood.Care to share the reason why?" he asked Icy, tilting his head.His gentle green eyes sparkled calmly like jewels.He still had no idea Disparity blew up a building on the other side of Cleveland. |

He didn't care if she didn't want his help, nor did he care if she only acted brave. He only wanted to yell at Disparity for leaving him alone with this...klutz...and punch him. This is the reason why he don't want to be close to anyone. He sighed.
"I want to." he stated shortly. "Don't bother objecting, I'm helping you."
Icy
"Weeeeellll, I'm just happy that I'm going to see my lovely wife again!" He entered the elevator, and pushed the button for the fifth floor. "I really cannot wait to see her." He chuckled, and sadly muttered, "I missed her. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone personally, but if it's to keep Lupa safe, then I'll do it." Icy grinned at the younger boy, "I'm sorry if I'm a little cheesy there. You'd understand when you're married to a beautiful woman like her!"
First things first, he'll have to get to Hikiro to tell the news, but spending time with Lupa comes first! Icy couldn't wait.

"Alright, I won't object," said Mele."I just need to get down to the base floor and I'll be able to get the arrow out."She wondered if he knew she could just summon Sivain for help.Though, the spirit would be in the feral state.Mele's charms didn't always work and her's broke last time she was attacked.She knew she was being foolish trying to act brave, but she felt she had to prove to Xylon she was no coward, klutz or not.

"Oh, no, I understand," said Nori, looking at the buttons on the elevator."You see, I don't understand marriage, but I understand the sacrifice to protect a loved one."He closed his hand around his pendant."I did the same thing for my adopted sister," he muttered softly.Nori fell silent at that, falling into a deep thought as he remembered Kit, his adopted sister.

"Alright. I'll escort you there, since apparently you're the only healer here, you're actually kind of critical to us winning this war." Xylon paused for a moment, then laughed out of amusement. "Good God."

Icy's cheerful smile fell from his face, "Oh no, did I bring up something hurtful?" He was truly concerned for this child and since he felt slightly more protective of Nori than any usual soldier (maybe it's because that the boy was barely an adult to him). "I don't mean to bring up such a personal subject." He looked at the elevator door, then at Nori. "If there's something eating at ya, or if there's something that you need help with, I'm here to help."

Mele looked up at Xylon.She held her charm."Is something wrong?" she asked.Mele's one eye was covered by her hair, which made her look younger than she was.Mele realized she was rather short, but it never bothered her until now.

"No, you didn't bring up anything personal," said Nori.He smiled calmly at Icy."Don't worry about it, sir.I'm fine because she's watching over me.She's not suffering from her asthma anymore and she's perfectly happy causing trouble as an angel," he told Icy.Nori believed those words, but he wondered if Icy did as well."I'm fine, if I need help, I'll come talk to you," said Nori.He dipped his head to Icy and exited the elevator.He had work to do on this floor anyway. |

"Hmmm? Oh, no. Nothing. It's just a spark of memory with my two other brothers. I almost channeled my younger one. Whatever." He stepped away from her a little bit, suddenly disgusted with the closeness. Damn, he hates being close to a person. And Disparity. Absolutely hates it. And Disparity. "What's that charm thing supposed to do, help you heal?" Xylon headed for the door, "We've been here too long. C'mon."

Icy laughed lightly, he's been doing this a lot lately. Hmmm....maybe if he were to get some coffee....yeah, he'll get some coffee. He strode out of the elevator to get some coffee. Then he'll see Lupa...he's in the mood for coffee anyways.

Mele followed after Xylon, thankful for her delicate grace she inherited.She could have burst out laughing at that thanks, for she was anything but graceful."This charm, it's a summoning charm.I can call on Sivain with it," said Mele, looking at him calmly.She didn't let her bleeding bother her anymore."I have no real powers, I'm just a summoner," she added truthfully.

Nori wandered down the hall, trying to find something to do.He didn't want to go to his room to stand in front of the door like an idiot.He wasn't like that at all.So, why am I being so stupid? he wondered to himself.Nori, no, that wasn't the real him.He was no common soldier.
His hand gripped his pendant tightly.He pushed Kit out of his mind.My fault, he thought.The words echoed in his mind and they wouldn't go away.Nori stopped and put his hand on the wall.He just stood there, having nowhere else to go. |

"Oh that's nice. Sivain can stop or slow the bleeding? It'd be nice if she...he...it... did..." He actually don't care about the gender, he just was cautious that he won't offend Mele...Not like he's telepathic or whatever. He stopped, then he said "Summon it."

Coffee's good.
No, really. It is. There's heat, and some kind of relaxation for Icy as he held his mug. He took a sip, then another one. He'll crash later, but whatever. He thought about Nori in the elevator. He saw the sadness in the young soldier's eyes. Icy wanted tell him that that he could relate, but...he had lost no one much. Just a brother that's against him during this war. He stared at his cup, spacing out. "I wish there was something I would've done for the boy." he muttered. He...he could have done something, but for now, he'll have to believe Nori's words about being alright.
Great, now he feels guilty for bringing up a topic that relates to such a subject. Icy sighed, and for a fleeting moment wished he could drink, but he's married. Damn. Well, drinking was fun.
He'll have to focus on his coffee to forget the guilt.

Mele was beginning to notice she would never be able to argue with Xylon.She wasn't stupid, he was stubborn.Mele closed her eyes and a small white creature appeared at her feet.It looked like a cat with a fox tail.Mele dipped her head."My charm got cracked when I was in combat last, I haven't been able to transfer Sivain into another one lately," she said, looking at the cat.
Sivain yawned and leapt up, curling around on Mele's shoulders.Mele ran her hand across Sivain's back, playing with the spirit's tail until she pulled it away."She does know magic to help heal, but in this form, she's pretty much useless," Mele said softly.Sivain blended in with the girl's hair. |

He stared. He just stared at the cat...thing. He felt a spark of anger, and irritation when he suddenly remembered what Disparity's favorite nickname for him was. He blinked once, then again. Useless to help Mele huh? Then screw that little thing, if it's useless now, then it will be of absolutely no use in the future unless they do something about it. Xylon sighed, "Fine. Let's get where we need you to go already." He placed a hand on his head as if he had a headache and he walked away, absolutely no expression on his face. He doesn't want to stand around anymore, he doesn't want to make her bleed any more. She'll faint from blood loss soon, Xylon thought. He doesn't want her to suffer anymore than she already has. With that in mind, his strides were a little faster.
