This is not a war that can be fought alone. There is nothing here in these alleys, these battles that have clashed for ages.Yet, the darkness whispers of the cries of many children.Embers shining on the reflection of the water, sending buildings that reach the sky into flames as explosions call out in the air. This is a war that shows two sides. This is a war of light and dark, with so many twists that there is nothing else here. There are so many silhouettes against embers. Yet, none seem friendly. There are orders to strike down the enemy, but hand in hand, wouldn't peace be so much simpler? No, suppose just for a moment that peace and pacifists were the enemy.Suppose this war is one that can save the world, but of course there'd need to be sacrifices. Now, suppose that after this war, everyone could sleep easily with no fear for another 100 years. This is a revolution, this is a great division of sanity and insanity. It is a breakthrough for life. Now then, take that and put it in the back of your mind. This paradise is one that is needed. To get to that paradise, sacrifice the ultimate beings. Those that have a greater potential than a normal human, they are the enemy.Or, perhaps you are one of them and want to fight for this paradise?Don't tell for this paradise will be the greatest one there every was.Now then, walk on and continue but don't look back because the darkness is tempting.Show the light in your heart and wear it with pride. S u m m a r y . o f . t h e . R o l e p l a yOnce more there is an outbreak of war.The same old thing, only this time, it is over a Paradise that no one can confirm. In this apocalyptic land, there is an increase of industrialization and different technical inventions which are classified as "Steam punk". However, unlike the era of "Steam punk", there is no Victorian ties, this is a modern society with laptops, cellphones, and so on.This roleplay takes place in Cleveland, Ohio, though it is much more advanced and mechanical. Everyone lives in apartments with fading lights, alleys are the only entries and in most places blood stains the sidewalk because of these wars. In these wars, you are on one of the two main armies. You are to obey your commanding officers and fight when told.Of course, how many people are truly going to listen to those orders?Very few, only the kiss-ups.You're to battle and love whenever you want, nothing will stop you. However, you only come out at night to fight. If only you knew that this paradise was ending this war, not a place.Oh well, you'll learn. Disparity
He could hear the clock ticking within his pocket as he walked along the abandoned alley. His cloak swirled around him.Being old-fashioned in some ways, this male enjoyed coming off as a Gothic Noble. He wore black-and-white converse shoes, a pair of blue jeans, and a black shirt with gray horizontal stripes. This male was called Disparity.
The gravel shifted beneath his feet as he walked.Coming to a halt, he looked up at the building looming above him, outlined by the full moon.He fished in his pocket for his pocket watch and opened the small metallic device. The time read 10:30 P.M. in Roman Numerals.Closing the device and putting it away, he proceeded on, entering the building.Taking out a card, he swiped it on the stand by the metal doors leading to the elevator. The floors were simple to remember.
The apartment building had ten floors total, as did the one of Screen on the opposite side of town.Disparity pressed the button for the ninth floor. On the ninth floor was the suites of the Alpha and Beta.Between the ninth and fifth floors were soldiers. The fifth floor was the main level, the base of the Echos. It was simple to remember for the floors from four down were new recruits and trainees. The tenth floor held all the weapons and ammo.It was not a brilliant design, but he put up with it.Disparity stood in the corner of the elevator, examining his key card.
The card allowed him into the elevator and into any room. All cards worked like that.He knew that the Screen building was set up the same as the Echo's, the same people built them.Disparity looked at the number above the door as it increased. He closed his eyes and sighed, tired of this pointless war with those who could not even defend themselves.
Mele Mele sat in her room, listening to the familiar sounds of gun fire. She had her charms and spheres laid out on her bed.The spheres and charms allowed her to call on spirits, but all were empty.Well, all on the bed.She put her hand to the charm around her neck. She had Sivain, that was all she needed.
Mele looked at the window, her china blue eyes glowing brightly in the dark. She had no lights on, the only light came from the moon.Floor seven held her room. She was classified as a soldier when it came to housing. The girl tucked her hair behind her ear as she began to put her spheres and charms into the box on her bed.Her hand slipped and she almost dropped a sphere but she was quick enough to catch it.
It wasn't Mele's fault she was a klutz, she couldn't help it.Mele put the box on her dresser and walked over to the window."I hope no one got injured," she said softly.Mele was with the Echos, sure. However, she wasn't evil. She just followed her heart, however cheesy that may sound. It just happened to bring her here as a healer. She didn't care though, it was obvious she didn't mind.
Nori Nori tossed his long, flowing red-brown hair over his shoulder. He blinked as he looked up at the sky."It's getting late and there's nothing here," he said.Turning around, he started to head back to the base.He figured that his luck wasn't going to change by the time the sun came up.
A mere soldier in this foolish war, Nori was doubted. He didn't mind that he was a soldier, it was better than being an Alpha. The male walked with his hands in his pocket, eyes closing for a moment before they opened again. His green eyes seemed to glow in the dark.Around his neck swung a pendant.Upon reaching the base and entering, Nori realized he left his key card in his room.
He cussed to himself and sat on one of the couches, hoping a fellow Screen would let him in."Just my luck," Nori said to himself, leaning back.He played with his hair casually.Nori was patient, but he was also unlucky right now.He expected the worst to happen.

H i k i r o A small sigh escaped from her parted lips, and she pushed some of her wavy black hair out of her eyes. It was starting to get dark, and it may have signaled a battle. She didn't really know...the Echo's have been rather quiet lately.
She was the Alpha of the Screen or the "general" of it. It was a tiring job, and it held no end to the amount of work it took. She saw death and misery each day, powerless to change the course of war that happened around her.
She walked slowly to the entrance of the base, spotting a figure sitting down on one of the couches. It seemed to be...Nori, a soldier. "Forgot your key card again?" she questioned Nori, walking towards the door. Within another second, she waved her keycard over the smallish door, and allowed access for both of them.

Xylon
Approached the building, sighing. He eyed the sorry piece of crap, not organized but he can live with it. He doesn't care what Disparity does anyways, as long as he gets Icy's head. He held the Key Card in his hand and swiped it for him to enter. Then he went to the elevator. As the elevator climbed, Xylon thought about what he will do once he gets to his suite. Maybe sleep, just what he needs after a long walk, glaring at people could be tiring.
Xylon grunted, grabbing his arm, that had a arrow through it. Damn that Icy. The elevator doors opened and Xylon continued to walk into the hallway, his metal boots clinking against the floor.
Icy
Icy brushed away the sweat that was forming upon his forehead. He smiled when Xylon has left. He left a good, lucky arrow in Xylon's arm, and trying injure Xylon was already making Icy shake slightly.
"Hehehe..." he breathed, but that short chuckle evolved into a laugh. Oh, how it hurts to laugh, but injuring Xylon was one of his many goals in life. But one question loomed about him:
When he was fighting Xylon, Xylon knew his weakness. How did he know? Icy pondered over this as he gathered his discarded bow and arrows and headed back to the Screen building.

Nori Nori, being the gentleman he was, held the door for Hikiro."Thank you," he said softly. He couldn't help but smile slightly."I don't understand technology, I'm a country boy.I came from a small village, so it's all new to me," Nori said.
Nori didn't care if he was judged. He was seen as a female anyway due to his long hair. That didn't make him cut it, it had been to his waist since he was thirteen years old and he wasn't going to cut it ever.He liked how it felt to have it flow in the breeze.Weird, yes, but that was Nori. His hair made him who he was.
Disparity Disparity had noticed Xylon's injury.Only after exiting the elevator, he spoke."You should get that checked out by Mele. The last thing we need is a weakened Beta," he said.It was hard to tell if Disparity was being considerate. It didn't sound like he really cared about Xylon. In fact, Disparity was only thinking of how weak the Echos would look.
He stood there, his wings revealing themselves.Six blades, three on either side. They beat like wings occasionally. Each one was made of glass-like material.Disparity was one person who had no weakness. His weakness was long gone and it wouldn't come back any more.He did not believe in irrational fears, he believed in facts.
Disparity's hair was jet black with streaks of white and platinum blonde. He stood with his hand in his pocket, holding his pocket watch. He did not look at Xylon. Not because he was afraid, but because he saw nothing interesting in Xylon. He was close to the wall, but not leaning on it.

Xylon
Xylon scoffed, "Fine,." He glared at Disparity, "Don't think that I am weak, Disparity." He didn't say anything more but traveled to Mele's room silently. He won't die before Icy. He'll personally make sure of it.
[I'm gonna hold Icy off for a bit : D; Bumblebee's barking.]

H i k i r o She blinked, watching Nori hold the door for her. "That's rather interesting..." she said, her voice uncaring and cold. I don't have time to deal with random soldiers...A small sigh emitted from her mouth, and she walked into the base.
She had just come back from a battle, and was somewhat tired now. She hadn't received any injuries, and was quite happy on that fact that Icy had been able to injure Echo's Beta. "How did the battle go for you?" she questioned Nori, still walking deeper into the base.
It was a normal thing that she did, and that was to ask the members of Screen on how they did in battle and anything they spotted that was unusual. Since Nori was there at the moment, she could just get his judgement out of the way.

Disparity "Then don't act like a coward, Felis Domesticus" muttered Disparity. He walked to his room like nothing happened.Being the Alpha meant he was in charge, but that also meant anyone could kill him for the position. If the Beta was weak enough, then the Beta would not become the Alpha but the opponent would.Disparity, of course, had no point to fear for his life.He knew his limits and he was no coward. However, he was not stupid enough to leap in head-first without considering the consequences.
Nori "There was nothing in my section," Nori reported, quite disappointed. He had followed the Alpha but the Echo's Alpha vanished from his view. That was something of little to no importance.Nori followed his Alpha casually. His hair swayed with each step.
Mele Mele sat on her bed, writing down some things and examining her steel tools. Each one was cleaned and wiped down.Though, if she had to do anything serious, she'd go to the base level and perform operations in the room they made the operating room. She chewed on the end of her pen for a moment before scratching out a random word before writing the correct one near it.She was doing nothing of importance, obviously.
[He's so cute :3 ]

Xylon
"Mele." Xylon muttered, seemingly uninterested. He just stared at her with his blue eyes seeming to analyze her. He continued to stay quiet, waiting for a reply.
[Should I add him here?]

H i k i r o A small huff escaped from her lips, and she gave a slight nod to Nori. "I see," she stated merely, not wanting to conversate any longer with the soldier. Two bangs of her hair fell down in front of her face, and she let out a small sigh. What to do now...There was honestly not many other things to do other than commanding the Screen, fighting battles, and looking out for yourself. Life now was quite boring and tedious...

[Add who where?]
Mele Mele, being starled by Xylon, fell off her bed.Rubbing her head as she stood up, blushing with embarrassment, she realized it was Xylon."Oh, Xylon, sir! What can I do for you?" she asked, stunned that the Beta came to visit her.Mele's blushing subsided and she dusted herself off, sitting back on her bed.
She looked up at him calmly, her China blue eyes sparkling.Within their depths were her fears and her emotions, swirling in her irises as if begging to be released. She blinked and everything seemed to vanish as her eyes became blank of emotion. She tucked her hair behind her ear again, seeing as it had escaped.
Nori "I apologize for my failure.I was trailing the Alpha of the Echo army, but he vanished," said Nori calmly."I don't know what he was up to, but he kept checking his watch."Nori flipped his hair over his shoulder.Everyone doubted Nori's true potential.
Really, he never seemed good enough. However, that did not matter to him.Nori knew his potential and he was a brave, courageous warrior. He didn't let anyone say otherwise.Sure, he made mistakes, but so did everyone else.

H i k i r o She nodded again, listening to Nori's words carefully. Tracking the Echo's Alpha? That's somewhat impressive..."Really? Good work then. It would seem as if the Echo's Alpha was being pressed for time..." she said, her voice calm and collected. Nothing else would really relate to as why the Echo's Alpha would keep checking his clock. It wasn't as if he was waiting for some sort of special on the televison or something....
A small sigh escaped from her parted lips, and she pushed the two bangs of her hair out of her eyes. The Screen's base was rather giant and easy to get lost in. However, she was the Alpha, and she could navigate through the base with her eyes closed.

Xylon
"I need you to heal me, obviously," Xylon replied, looking away with a blank expression. "so I can rest." He shifted his weight to one leg, still holding onto the arm. The blood trickled between his fingers, and when he squeezed it to slow the bleeding, he still had no expression.

Nori "Thank you," said Nori, nodding. He hated following Hikiro around but he had nothing else to do.On top of that, she wasn't dismissing him or anything.Nori was still fairly new to the base but he didn't say he had no idea where they were.He knew that Hikiro knew and that was enough for him at the moment.
Mele Mele stood up and walked over to Xylon. She examined the arrow and sighed."I'll have to take you down to the base.I'll have to cut the arrow's tip off and it should hopefully come out easily. That is, if it didn't get stuck in a bone," she said, looking at it.She noticed the blood, but she didn't feel ill or anything. For as much as she injured herself, she got used to it.
"We can go down now, if you want," she told him, taking out her key card."It won't take long at all."Mele tilted her head as she watched him.Just then, an explosion near the water shook the building as a mushroom cloud formed on the horizon.Mele looked over her shoulder, distracted by it for a moment."What the--?" she asked, confused.Shaking her head, she looked back at Xylon.
Disparity As the explosion went off, Disparity closed his pocket watch calmly. He leaned his back against his bed as he sat on the floor. He got a clear view of the explosion, glad he was on the ninth floor. That was his plan, it rid the Echos of some competition, but the Screens were still out there. That was their biggest threat.
Disparity closed his eyes and tilted his head back.He opened his eyes, revealing his blue irises as he looked at the ceiling."Shame, I expected a bigger explosion," he told himself. He sighed and stood up, stretching himself out before removing his cloak and his shirt. He sat on his bed, shirtless, as he unlaced his shoes.
