Nero scratched his chin. "Interesting." He looked off to the east, and saw the faint outline of the moon through the smog clouds. "It's getting late. Do you need a place to stay tonight?"

He looked back to her, smiling again. "Nonsense. You're a visitor in my kingdom, my house, even; and you'll be more of a relief than a burden. I've gotten some less than fantastic news, and I would like someone near my age to talk to about it."

Nero walked over to Renea, and offered his hand. "Come on, I'll show you to your room, Miss Renea."

Renea took his hand. Her skin was as cold as ice. "Please, there is no need to be so formal with me," said Renea. "I'm fine if you just call me Renea, or even Ren."

Nero nodded. "Alright then, Renea. Follow me, and I hope you don't mind stairs." He lead her inside, and paused to give Gaia an order. "Gaia, if you could, take the quick way down and wait for us at the bottom." Gaia nodded. He turned to the railing, got a running start, and jumped off the side of the tower.

He started down the stairs. "It's fine. Really, if we weren't in it, I wouldn't talk about my place, either."

"I hate the quick way down." He hit a pad of concrete, smashing it to pieces. Parts flew in every direction, and it took him a minute to start moving again.

Nero looked out a small window as they passed it. "Ah, we're about halfway down now."

He pickup his left arm and clicked it back into place, and walked inside.
