Dark Times {1x1 with Icecreamfreak}

"Alright, that's enough, Blitz." The lightning stopped, and he slipped the glove over the gauntlet. "Now, will everyone please settle down?"


He collapsed onto his knees, and struggled to pry his had off of the sword. "Ki...Kierra...little help here..." About time you ask for help from me." A figure in a white kimono formed behind Andrew, and pulled him away. She laid him down on his stomach, and pulled up his shirt. "Oh, my." Burns covered most of his back, and it smelled of cooked meat and charred wood.

She strolled over to the scene, and looked over the bodies. "Well, lets see here. Andrew looks petty bad, How is he?" she looked at alex, and then the woman behind him, and back to alex.

He clenched his fist and looked down at it. "I said stun." I apologize, sir. It has been a while since I've been used. He turned Maria away from the scene, and tried to calm her down. "I'm so, so sorry you had to see that..."


Andrew tried to get up, but Kierra shoved him back on the ground. "Fool, you've done enough already. Lay still." She looked over to Gerbera as he faded away. "Do you think he'll be alright, Gwendolyn?"


She knelt down beside Andrew, and put her hands against his back. "He should be fine. But, this is going to hurt. A lot." Andrew started shaking and convulsing, while the skin around his back slowly regrew, and the dead mass of flesh formed a pile beside him. "Hmm. more dead flesh than I thought there was. I'm going to have to do the same to Alex, as well."

Lawrence kneelled down, and wiped the tears off of her face. "That's right, it's alright. everything is alright."


Andrew looked up at the girl. "I was going to disarm him. I didn't want to fight." Kierra walked over and sat beside the doctor. "Yes, we do. Did you really think that Miss Phoenix here was the only one?" She looked over the other spirit, and then over her sword. "Oh, you have a beautiful blade."


She nodded, and looked down at the boy. "The way he rushed at Andrew... I'm surprised his swords didn't shatter."

He checked the scene behind him, and decided it was still too gruesome for her. "How about we find some wild flowers in the forest?"


Kierra looked at Phoenix. "We can't control what he does. If we had our way, He wouldn't fight at all." She stood up, and returned to where Andrew laid. She rolled him over, and sat him up. "Ah, that still stings." She pulled his shirt down, and strapped the sheathes back on. "Now get up, lazy. We still have miles before the next town."


"Sick? There's something beside the poisoning." She looked at her palm. "I wish I could help."

"Oh? never heard of wild flowers?" He turned to the forest, and pointed to a small patch of purple. "Ah! right there. Why don't you go check them out, I have to make sure no one got hurt too bad." With that, He walked to the larger group. "Someone had better give me a damn good reason that girl saw what she saw."


He pushed himself to his feet, and helped Kierra to hers. He turned to the woman in the orange dress. "That was one good hit you gave me. Cracked a few ribs." He turned to the metalsmith. "Drop it, there was just a minor scrap here." The metalsmith pulled off the glove again. "That was a scrap? Then, I'm leaving Blitz with you to make sure things don't get serious next time." A figure appeared behind Lawrence. He stripped the gauntlet, and gave it to Blitz.


She held her palm to her face. This simple trip had escalated into what seemed like the beginning of a full-blown adventure.

He looked at the woman holding the sword. "Oh, don't worry, I'll catch up. But I need to make sure that young lady back there is at home and safely in her bed tonight. She's not ready for traveling, she's still just a child." the figure behind him tapped his shoulder. Master, are you giving me permission to go with them? "Yes, yes I am. To make sure there are absolutely no fights."


"Gerbera, get out here." The figure appeared behind him. "Yes, sir?" He turned to the man. "Lawrence here just had a great idea. I'm going to let you and Kierra to walk with us. With my permission, this time."


She looked at the different conversations going on around her. She crossed her arms and started tapping her foot. "Alright, EVERYBODY. let's get our stuff together and head out. We're running out of light."

He walked back towards the town, searching for the area he had shown the shopkeeper. He found her, kneeling in the patch. He walked up behind her. "Well, hello there miss. You look awfully tired, are you ready to go home?"


He followed Phoenix, and made sure that Kierra and Gerbera were following as well. He saw the doctor carrying Zion. "Excuse me, sir. If you don't mind, I'll carry her."


She watched everyone start to move, and was astounded that yelling actually worked. She picked up her bag, and brought up the rear of the group.
