"I've only inherited Phoenix when I was fourteen." he said. "We're not friends, but she's like my mother while I'm like her child. She protected me and watched over me even when she was my mother's husband's sword. Phoenix knew me for a while, I only knew her when I was fourteen."

Alexander looked at the panther for a second before looking at Kierra. "She is a lovely woman despite her quiet nature." Phoenix appeared next to Alexander and held him close. She wasn't hearing their conversation, but she did worry if Alexander didn't get sleep. She looked at the other two spirits before running a hand through her master's hair.

Alex sighed, "Alright," he said. "I'll go to sleep." Phoenix laid Alex's head on her lap, still running a hand through his hair. She didn't say anything to the other two spirits as Alexander fell asleep. She closed her eyes, thinking.
