Circe.
"Look on the bright side, at least it wasn't Sivain that caught you on fire. She'd let it burn until all your clothes were gone," said Circe, smiling.

Gonzales
"I think I've seen the bright side to many things. I've seen the bright side of my clothes and I've seen the bright side of that sword..." Phoenix growled louder, and Gonzales flinched. "I mean Phoenix. And I've seen the bright side to opportunities."

Circe
"The bright side of your clothes in blue. How about red?" asked Circe merrily. "We can shoot for a whole rainbow if you have drift wood nearby!"

Gonzales, and Sanguine Icy Wolff and Alex Oris Simmons
"Oh, yeah. Drift wood. I wouldn't mind seeing fireworks at the moment. Go for it, Circe."
"Just call each other pet names already. The tension's too much!"
"I can see where Gonzales is coming from." Sanguine said and looked at Circe and Alex, "You guys seem to have a love tension so thick, even I can see it. Why don't you guys want to be together? You two are so compatible."

Circe.
"It's complicated, that's all you need to know," said Circe, looking over at Sanguine. Her blue eyes seemed to sparkle as she looked away. "So, how about it, Gonzales, care to be a human rainbow?" she asked.

Alex Oris Simmons, Gonzales, and Sanguine Icy Wolff
"How complicated?" Sanguine said, "You guys just seem to have such a great time together, and you can't deny that you like each other, so why push the love away?"
"It's complicated," Alex growled, "She's got her problems if we're together, and I have mine."
"But you guys can work it out together!"
"Silence, boy!"
Gonzales looked at Circe, then at the sword on the ground in front of him. He looked scared, "Why all of this hostility?"

Circe.
"I'm not being hostile," said Circe. "If I was, I'd have you bound to a tree and be burning you from the inside out." She rested her head on her hand calmly as she watched him. She couldn't help but hum Haru Haru to herself as she watched the poor nature spirit. "Though, you probably did harm Sylver's brain. I should tell Terra."

"What? I didn't hurt his brain! He's still innocent!"
"Oh? You hurt his brain? I should just let Phoenix kill you. Maybe I should unleash my other sword too."
"NO! Look, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Circe and Terra.
"Oh come on, Alex, leave the poor boy alone," said Terra, laughing. "I'm sure he really is sorry for whatever he did. Hopefully it wasn't illegal." She had a flail in her hand. "I told you I'd find it, Circe," she added to the white-haired girl. Circe took the flail from Terra. "Thank you for finding it! I missed this so much!" she told Terra. Circe held the flail, stroking the metal chain calmly.
Terra smiled at Circe and looked at Alex. "So what did Gonzales do wrong this time?" she asked. "Was it illegal?" She was smiling, her green hair swaying in the breeze with each step.

Gonzales and Alex Oris Simmons
Gonzales looked over at Terra with gratefulness. "Terra!" he said, smiling and running to her. "I did nothing wrong and they're threatening to kill me!"
Alex sighed, "Well, it's illegal in my book until Sylver is of proper age. He almost ruined the boy's mind with perverted lectures."
"I did not! He asked those questions himself!"
" 'Gonzales said that you and Mommy were making babies'." Alex recited, "Did he come up with that himself?"
"I said that, but he asked if making babies was fun!"
"Because he thinks it is like making toys!" Alex's face was red now, again, not from anger or irritation, but from the thought of the conversation. Gonzales looked at him blankly, "Y'know, for a guy who had sex twice, maybe more than that..."
"Yes, way more."
"You blush a lot." Alex blushed and looked away. "It's different after a couple of years of being alone."

Circe and Terra.
"Well, if you ask me, Gonzales, you should be careful of what you say. He is just a kid," said Terra. "Though, Alex, I just can't punish Gonzales for it. Your boy did ask the questions himself." She looked at Gonzales again.
Circe was listening, but she didn't say anything as she knelt there, running her hand over the flail. She played with the charm on the end, examining it. She looked up at Terra. "Is Disparity not coming?" she asked Terra. Terra looked back at her. "I'm afraid not, he had something he had to take care of. Either that, or he's afraid of hurting Amy," said the girl. Circe nodded and went back to examining the flail.

Alex Oris Simmons and Gonzales
"Oh, you weren't there." Alex countered. Gonzales snickered, and looked at Terra. "I can understand his reluctance, but we need all of the support we can get. We have a plan to keep Amy away from Xylon, but we might need his help."
Alex nodded, "We have to gather what we can, Xylon will not be willing and happy to see us in his place. Alec is on his side and I'm iffy about Alice."
"Alec is on his side?" Gonzales questioned, and Alex sighed, folding his arms. "...yes." He bit his lower lip before leaving quietly. Gonzales looked down, "So we'll lose Alex if Alec takes over. Man, this sucks..."

Circe and Alice.
Circe stood up and looked at Gonzales. "Then, we'll get Alice on our side," said Circe. "Did I hear my name?" asked a cheerful female. "Yes, you did," said Circe. "We need you to help us fight against Xylon." "What's my payment?" "We'll discuss it, but you still owe a certain family member of mine a favor, don't you?"
Alice was silent as she thought about it. She turned away from Circe. "Yes, yes I do. Very well, I will help you, but we will never speak of it again. Your nephew is too important to me." "That is all I ask. Thank you," said Circe. Alice nodded and looked at the others. "Ready to go?"

Alex Oris Simmons, Gonzales, Sylver Simmons
"Well, we'll have to say our goodbyes here though. Who knows who will die against Xylon if we have all of this wrong. I'm sure Alex is saying his goodbyes to his son..."
Maybe permanent goodbyes, Gonzales concluded, his face serious. "...he just has to. We'll wait for him."
Alex held his son quietly, who was sleeping again. He always had such luck when he was ready to cry, his son would be sleeping. "I'm sorry, Sylver." Alex murmured, a gentle smile on his face and he was trying hard not to cry as he removed a strand of hair from his son's peaceful, peaceful face. He knew that his eyes were burning from the tears, and his face was hot, but he still refused to cry. If Alec had taken over, then it was Circe's job to kill him. She promised him. Surely, she wouldn't break the promise, would she?
He bit his lower lip again, a tear falling. "Daddy will come and play with you later when I come back." he murmured.
A white lie won't hurt anyone, will it?

Circe.
Circe entered the house. "Alex, are you ready to go?" asked Circe softly. She watched him, giving him space. Circe didn't want to intrude, but she knew that if Xylon found out Alice discovered his location, he'd move on to another place. She didn't want that at all. She considered having Alex stay behind, for his safety and for his son's sake.
Circe couldn't force Alex to stay behind, so with her flail gripped in her hand, she watched him say good-bye. Deep in her heart, she remembered her promise. More than anything, she didn't want to have to kill Alex and she hoped with all of her heart it wouldn't come to that. If it did, she didn't know what she would do. Circe thought about Gonzales and Sanguine. They just didn't understand how things were so complicated.
