Faded Light: Sequel to Breaking Sanity

Sylver Simmons, Alex Oris Simmons, Gonzales, Ninetales Foxx, and Sanguine Icy Wolff

"Yeah," Sanguine said, sneaking out to the woods. It was the only place that they would go, so why not? He was careful enough not to tripl, which was a miracle.

Sylver smiled, "I'm happy bad man isn't taking over Daddy again. I was so scared!" He looked up at her and then looked away. "But will the bad man come back again?"

Alex glared at the two. "If you do not tell me right now--"

"Calm down, Allie." Gonzales interrupted, whipping his head at the red-head. His lime green eyes were serious and he no longer had his usual smile. "We didn't say that we'll keep you in the dark. We're trying to figure out how to put this in words."

"Yes," he said, "it is a difficult thing to tell people like you, Oris." Ninetales muttered, his eyes looking at the bushes at the side. He had his hands folded as he rested his chin upon them. His elbows were on his knees as he sat, as he thought. Alex gave them a dubious look, but said nothing and kept a straight face.

"Alright. I'll be patient." the red eyed man said after a while and leaned against the tree. "You may sort this out on your own, but I'm staying right here."

Gonzales looked at Ninetales and Ninetales did the same, sighing.

Sylver smiled at her, "Mommy, I'm hungry!" he said, "What will we have to eat?"

Sanguine tripped over a root and fell behind a bush. Thankfully his fall was silent and the three men continued to talk, not noticing.

"Well, since we thought about Mele's death, we kind of knew that Xylon would go downhill." Gonzales started. "We knew that you would leave shortly before the twins were born and we thought about the time where you were unresponsive for two years."

"I came up with a liquid that will repair your nearly shattered mind." Ninetales continued, taking over in the conversation. "I never tested it before since you are the only person to hold a gluttonous spirit within you. You and Alec share the same body and you know when Alec is ready to take over."

"Most of the time," Alex corrected, "I didn't know about last time. He just kind of took over and I believe he aimed for my son. Again."

"So you can't figure him out sometimes, so that means he is finding out ways on being prepared secretly."

"Yes. Anyways, continue?"

"Well, after Xylon lost his memories I thought about using it to regain his memories. His memories about the twins being born, his late wife and everything else. Heck, I even thought about using this when he visited that last time, but he left too early for me to get it."

"I see." Alex said.

Gonzales looked at him seriously, "We're gonna have to find out where Xylon had taken Amy. Amy is in deep trouble and with the way Xylon is I am sure that he'll snap at any moment." Alex looked at the leaf covered dirt, and growled. "I won't forgive him for what he's done to Amy."

"I know. Amy was too kind to get beaten up like that. It was hard to believe that he died and we had to revive him."

"Yes." Ninetales agreed, "But when you went out to chase after Xylon, what happened?"

"Nothing." Alex said, "Nothing happened between me and Circe if you're trying to get to that." He glared at Gonzales who shrugged, muttering "It doesn't hurt to ask, would it?" and Alex sighed. "We just concluded that Xylon had taken Amy to a random car and left."

Ninetales glared at the earth, "I see."

Sanguine Icy Wolff, Gonzales, Ninetales, Sylver Simmons, and Alex Oris Simmons

Sylver smiled at her, "I hope they he has something to eat. I'm hungry. How about you? Are you hungry?" he asked while trotting behind her, his feet patting on the floor many more times than Circe because he's smaller and short for a five year old.

"Do you think that Xylon will remember Sachiel and Sanguine?" Gonzales asked again, looking at the two other men seriously. "I mean he has to. It's not fair that they don't even know him!"

Ninetales looked away, "If they want to pursue their past them let them. Icy's already gone to tell them about Xylon and I doubt that you would want to talk to them about Xylon either." He looked at Alex for the last bit who looked away. Alex growled, "I'll explain some things..."

"Yes." Ninetales agreed. "While I concur, you have to think about how you would tell them gently. I know your ways, Oris, and it's harsh."

"Well, it's pleasant for you to observe that, Ninetales."

Gonzales sighed, "I'm sure that they'll find out in due time. Xylon is really an important figure in their past."

Sanguine whispered only for Sachiel to hear, "Who is Xylon? Why does he continue to be mentioned? And what about him remembering us?"

Ninetales sighed and rubbed his head, "He was different when Icy was alive, and when Mele was alive. Oh Mele, why did you leave so soon?"

"Murder." Alex said, looking away. Gonzales nodded, and then looked at Alex. "Hey," he started and Alex looked at him expectantly. "do you think that Xylon will be able to control you since you have... Alec within you?"

"No." Alex responded, "Alec will become a little restless around Xylon since he is so corrupted but it will not affect my mind."

"I was wondering that because Xylon seemed to control Amy when he kidnapped him." Gonzales concluded. Ninetales agreed with the nature spirit and looked at Alex. Ninetales smiled, "Could you take care of the twins for us?"

"No," the answer was immediate, "I already have too much to take care of."

"Just your son and your girlfriend!" Gonzales said, and Alex had the mind to drive his sword through the spirit's head, but he didn't. "She isn't my girlfriend and I said nothing happened between us. Now knock it off, Gonzales." Gonzales chuckled. Ninetales sighed, "I know that you have to worry about your mind shattering and Alec, Sylver and Circe. Maybe you can take two more people in account?"

"No. I will not. The two are old enough to be on their own and they will not be babied any more than a sixteen year old. I refuse to take care of them. If they want to find out about answers, they'll have to come to one of us or Circe. They will investigate on their own. I will not hand feed them hints as if they are children. This is their past to uncover completely. I'll only give out some information to them but not all. That is final." Alex turned around to leave the clearing after that, and following him Gonzales and Ninetales followed.

"Oh," Sylver said lamely, "I guess so..." He tried to open the fridge, but failed. He was tiny and weak.

Sanguine followed his sister, nearly stepping on the hems of his own pants and falling a couple of times. He still managed to be quiet when the three men entered the house.

Gonzales looked at the invaded room. "Who went into Icy's room?" Ninetales had a forlorn look when the nature spirit mentioned his son. Alex folded his arms and sat on the couch, "These children. Twins. Sachiel and Sanguine."

"Of course," Gonzales said, "Wait, how do you know their names?"

"I heard of them from Nobunaga." Alex responded swiftly and curtly. Gonzales sighed and Ninetales chuckled.

"I don't know, they look good. You pick for me, Mommy!"

Sanguine smirked, "Follow my lead." he said as he just went into the house casually. He looked at the three men in surprise, "Oh, you returned."

"And you, it seems." Alex replied, looking at Sanguine with a steely glance. Sanguine chuckled "nervously", "Sachiel and I went to the back, y'know, to talk about things."

"Why talk in the back when you can talk in a private room in here?"

Damn that man! Sanguine thought angrily. "We like fresh air,"

"I can understand. You could've opened the window."

"Oh, this is a typical Alex interrogation, huh?" Gonzales asked Ninetales. Ninetales nodded. They let it continue though.

"We just like adventure. Investigating things!" Sanguine didn't know where this man is getting at, and really is starting to hate Alex.

"Oh?" Alex said, a questioning look on his face although it isn't genuine. It seemed more sarcastic as if trying to mock Sanguine. Alex rested his head on his hand, glaring at the nineteen year old. "Like how you invaded your uncle's room?"

Sanguine's face turned red and he looked away, "We were curious."

"Really." Alex muttered, looking away. "Is that so?"

"Oh, he was curious now was he? I have no problem with that." Alex said, looking at Sachiel with a stern eye. "Do you even back up with Sanguine's story of the two of you going out to talk in the... back?"

Sanguine looked at Alex with a confused look. "I don't know you, how do you know about my name?"

"Again, I've heard from Ninetales. I know your father, but I'm not going to say anything about him." Alex sighed and closed his eyes.

Sylver looked at Circe and then he looked at the apple. "I want the apple. May I have it?" he asked politely. "Mommy, may I have it?"

"Currently, I am not on speaking terms with your father." Alex replied curtly, "We are enemies although I know him fairly well. So does Ninetales and Gonzales."

"Doctor? Gonzales? You knew about father? Why didn't you tell us?" Sanguine asked them, a little more baffled now. Ninetales and Gonzales looked away, Gonzales spoke, "I... you never asked..."

Sylver smiled and took the apple, biting into it. He smiled at her as he chewed, a happy glint in his eyes. "It's good, Mommy!" He paused before looking at with a even happier smile. "I hear Daddy talking! Lets go to Daddy!"
