"What came up?" He was going to know, "I'm not going to hate you for it. Unless you're with another man." He thought about it, "Which I highly doubt...." He suddenly didn't feel like cajoling the truth out of her after a little while, "I'm not gonna ask anymore. I promise. I'll find out eventually just so you'd know."

"Don't...don't do that. We've seen enough blood today." He held her hand, and with his other hand, he reached into his pocket and grabbed a tissue that he kept there in case he needed it and dabbed at the blood. "Icy is the one who told you whatever that's scaring you," he repeated into his own words. As he sighed he said, "I'm gonna kill him one day."

"You're not weak." he stated. He looked up at her for a little bit and also ceased dabbing at the blood at the same time, and then resumed cleaning the blood and examining her self inflicted injury. "I'm sure that you've endured a lot more bullshit then I have," he said, almost casually. He stood up slowly when he was sure that the blood was cleaned, and he went over to the trash can and threw the bloodied napkin away. He stared at her with his more serious look, the left eye not as vivid as it once was in the shadows. He looked at his reflection, "Did you at least hit that one soldier once for me?"

"He's also your brother though," said Mele."To some extent, anyway.So, shouldn't you at least try to cherish what little bond you have?"She tilted her head slightly.Mele never had a real family before, so she didn't really fully understand why the two would hate each other so. |

He approached her, "I'm sorry about that, Mele." Xylon said looking down at her. Then he placed his hand on the top of her head, and ruffled it a bit, "I'm sure that you'll find a permanent home soon when this war is over. You can even come and live with me."

"Thanks, but I'm probably just going to go back to the village if it's still around," said Mele softly."I feel comfortable in the forest and I don't think I'd be able to go anywhere else.A member of my family grew up in the ruins near the village and I want to find out the truth about that place." |
